Excelsior Apple Days is a coveted lakeside festival celebrating community, art, locally produced food, and a good old-fashioned street dance. Since 1935, beloved fans of Apple Days have been enjoying a day full of events - craft booths, the Happy Apple Kids Corner, food vendors, history tour, Apple Pie contests, live entertainment - from local groups to well-known bands on the big stage, and the popular beer and wine garden located in the middle of it all!

Bridgewater Bank Apple of the Lake Track and Field & 5k
A track and field day filled with fun for all! Come join us for a day of competition and nostalgia as you compete in classic track and field activities at Excelsior Elementary School. All ages are welcome and encouraged!
Activities run every half-hour and include:
- Gunny Sack Races
- Apple Bullseye
- Race/Walk Competition
- Endurance Course
- Apple Long Jump
- 4x100 Apple Relay
-Options for the 1-mile and 5k fun runs are also available to complete the Lake Minnetonka Running Series, located on the Lake Minnetonka Regional Trail

EXCELSIOR-LAKE MINNETONKA HISTORICAL SOCIETY TO HOLD WALKING TOUR OF WATER STREET DURING APPLE DAY
The Excelsior-Lake Minnetonka Historical Society will present a walking tour of Water Street on Saturday, September 17, 2022, at 12:00 noon. Historian Scott D. McGinnis will lead this tour down Excelsior's historic Water Street and will discuss the history of Excelsior, Waters Street buildings, businesses and townsfolk and Apple Day. The tour will begin at the Excelsior-Lake Minnetonka Historical Society Museum, 305 Water Street and end at the Port of Excelsior on the shore of Lake Minnetonka. This portion of Water Street is now listed in the National Register of Historic Places. The Society’s free museum will be open before and after the tour from 10:00 am-2:00 pm. About the Excelsior-Lake Minnetonka Historical Society: Founded in 1972, the Society collects, preserves and shares the history of Deephaven, Excelsior, Greenwood, Shorewood and Tonka Bay. The Society’s Archives and Museum are open to the public and house one of the largest collections of Lake Minnetonka historical artifacts, documents and photographs in the area. A number of books about Lake Minnetonka history have been published by the Society and programs and initiatives have been created to share the history of the area with children and adults.
