Pie Contests

Apple Day 2024 Pie & Dessert Contest Details

Submit online entries by NOON on Friday, September 20. You may also register in person on the day of the event with your pie/dessert entry.

Submit pies/desserts between 8:00 – 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 21 at Dunn Brothers 11 Water Street, Excelsior, MN, 55331.

Pies/desserts must be accompanied by a complete list of ingredients. If you are applying in person please remember to bring your list of ingredients.

Each entry may be judged in only one category. 4 categories include: Apple Pie, Baker’s Choice, Youth Apple Pie, Youth Baker’s Choice. (Baker’s Choice = any apple dessert!)

Please label your pie/dessert container on the bottom with your name. All entries become the property of the Apple Day Committee.

Judging will begin promptly at 10:15 AM on Saturday September 21.

First and Second place prizes will be awarded in each category following judging at 12:45 PM at the main stage.

Experience Excelsior Apple Days – a cherished lakeside festival that unites our community, art, local flavors, and a classic street dance. Since 1935, this event has delighted fans with a day packed full of activities like craft booths, a kids corner, food vendors, history tours, Apple Pie contests, live entertainment from local talents and renowned bands, and a lively beer and wine garden at the heart of it all!
